OCC Lip Tar Collection

Hello beauties, todays post is about my collect of OCC (obsessive compulsive cosmetics) Lip Tars. I am kind of obsessed with these and would have every shade if they were easier to get my hands on.

They are lipstick, ligloss, lip colour hybrid, they are EXTREMELY pigmented and you really only need the slightest amount to cover the entire lips. They have a huge array of shades from Pink to Yellow to Blue and so many more.

Personally for some reason lip products dont last well on my so i can get about 4 hours of opaque colour from these without having to re-touch, but i have heard that it can last 6 - 8 hours for other people.

I would suggest using a lip liner first, because these products are so pigmented they do tend to bleed, so using a lip liner will not only help with the longevity of the lip tars but will also help from the product bleeding.

Another pretty cool thing about these are that you can mix all of the colours, if u want a blue based red, easy just add a tiny amount to the red on the back of your hand or on a palette and mix and there you have it, i do this alot when i want to lighten my lip colour, i will use the white or if i want a coral i will mix Divine and Naracissis, they are so versitile.

I have purchased the majority of my lip tars from  All Cosmetics Wholesale or i have purchased them from imats.

You can purchase them online on the OCC website, they also do losse pigments and loose glitters.

My Collection

OCC Lip Tar - Clear

OCC Lip Tar - Feathered

OCC Lip Tar - Tone

OCC Lip Tar - Hush

OCC Lip Tar - Divine

OCC Lip Tar - Narcissis

OCC Lip Tar - Anime

OCC Lip Tar - Strumpet

Swatches - No Flash & Flash

Anime is one of my favourite shades, its a super vibrant neon hot pink, a little bid hard to pull of but i love it, also love Narcissis, i find its very similar to Mac's Pink Nouveau.
I will definately be purchasing more, i think next time i will get the Blue, Green and Yellow shades. :)

Also note, that the Lip Tars i have are in the 'old' packaging, oh and please dont just use these as a lipgoss and apply them straight to your lips, you really need a lip brush, the darker shades definately stain, and they can be a little messy and get everywhere.

Hope you enjoyed!

Top 5 Face Highlighters!

Todays post will be on my all time favourite face highlighters. (thus far)
I went through my collection and gathered up 5 highlighters that i use constantly, and lovee!

1. Mac's Cream Colour Base in Pearl.
Love to wear this with liquid foundation, it gives a really beautiful natural glow, its a 'champagne' shade, really great for light-medium skin tones.

2. Mac's Soft and Gental Mineralize Skin Finish
This is my favourite for a night out, its a goldy champagne shade that contains glitter particles, perfect for a girls night. I would say for me its a bit too much for a natural day to day highlight.

3. Mac's Refined Mineralize Skin Finish
This one i do love day to day, its a peachy shade and contains no glitter, its really beautiful. if you have very fair skin it could double as a blush. This was limited edition from Mac so you may not be able to get your hands on it :(

4. Sleek's Face Contour Kit - Highlight Side
First off, i love this becuase it comes with a bronzer/contour, this has to be my favourite go to highlighter, its a pinky shade (comparable to Urban Decays Virgin Eyeshadow). Contains no glitter, gives such a beautiful sheen to the skin.

5. Revlon's Pure Confection Highting Face Powder
This one is also great for a girls night out!, this one doesnt contain glitter but is quite frosty, really beautiful on fair - light skin tones :)

So where do i highlight??
I always highlight the tops of my cheeks bones, so above the apples of your cheeks and just down and under the eye slightly. I also highlight down the bridge of my nose to make it appear thinner, the cupids bow to make my lips appear fuller, my brow bone to exccentuate my eyebrows, every now and then i will apply a tiny amount to the centre of my forehead and my chin ONLY because i have dry skin, and i want to have a glowy appearance, but if you have oily skin i really wouldnt reccomend it as it may make your skin appear more shiny.

Hope you enjoyed guys :)

rapid Review: Prestige - My Brow Pen!

Im going to be doing these 'Rapid Reviews' when i really love a product or i really dislike and a product to let all you beauties know, why i love it and why i dont.
Ill be letting you know where you can purchase them (in Australia), how much they cost (in Australia), colours, finish, texture, packaging, longevity etc.

My first 'Rapid Review' will be on the Prestige My Brow Pen, Brow Marker Tattoo Effect.
I've been eyeing off this product for a few weeks, i wanted to try it but have heard a few negative comments on marker type brow products, but i thought i would 'bite the bullet' and try it for myself.

I purchased it from Priceline, from what i recall the price was $14.95.

From what was advertised it comes in one shade which is a midtone brown, when swatching it on my hand i thought that the shade would be too light for me and i was worried about that, but once i used it, it was suitable.

I swatched it before purchasing it, the swatch latest all day, it instantly stains your skin, for me it is a good thing as i have sparse light eyebrows.

The marker tip is quite thin, so its really great for precision.

I found that you can apply it softly for a more natural look, or it can definately be built up to a more dramatic defined brow which i prefere.

Below are some Before and After Pictures, including light and heavy application.

Before - Horrible haha

A Light Application, with slight definition.

After - More Definition.

Overall i really love this product and have found my new holy grail brow product, i will 100% be repurchasing :)

How to: Depot Mac Blushes & extra :)

Hi beauties so today's post will be about how to depot Mac blushes,  the method is exactly the same when depoting Mac eyeshadows :)

So what is depoting?
Depoting an eyeshadow or blush is when you remove the pan from the packagaing so that you are able to put them in your own palatte.

I dont mind have my blushes and eyeshadows in their orignial packaging but i do it so i can 'Back to Mac' my empty containers, for those of you who dont know what 'Back to Mac' is, its when you have finished with 6 Mac products, you take the empty packages 'back' to mac, and in exchange of handing in your empty packages you get a FREE lipstick!! it would take me ages to just finish off an eyeshadow or a blush so i depot them and take in the empty containers :)

WHAT YOU NEED:

Non-Stick Baking Paper

Hair Straightener
(i dont straighten my hair so i just bought a cheap one)

Blushes or Eyeshadows

Extras:
Tweezer
Nail Scissors
Mac 6 Pan Blush Palatte or Mac 15 Pan Eyeshadow Palatte
Z Palatte

HOW TO:

Take a peice of Baking Paper, lay it across the ceramic plate on the hair straightener.

Turn the heat up to the hottest temperature, while it is heating put the blush on the baking paper and leave it for about 30 seconds.

After 30 Seconds take the blush off the straightener, carefully with the tweezers pull off the label on the back of the blush and lay it down face up on a flat surface.

If you look front onto the blush you will notice a connection line where the two parts are joined, take the nail scissors and pop the top peice of the packing out.
(do it over a soft surface like a towel so when it pops out it doesnt fall and break)

The peice that popped out will look like this, place the blush onto the baking paper again and leave for about 1 minute.

After about a minute take the blush off and turn it over, you will noticed that the bottom has started to melt.
(Notice the hole in the middle)

.
While its still hot (which it will be), take the nail sciossors and push into that hole, the pan should pop out.
(again do this close to the surface so it doesnt fall out and break)

This is what it will look like once the pan has popped out, the pan will be very hot.

While its still hot, take the label that we removed earlier and re-apply it the the bottom of the pan.

Tada! A blush pan ready to put into your palatte.

All three blushes :)

It seems like it will take a long time, but it probably took me 2 mins each blush, so no time at all.
Now all you have to do is put them in your palattes, unfortunately i havnt been able to get to a Mac pro store, which is the only place they sell the palattes other than online, which my luck they are 'coming soon' on the website for $15.
